Double Glazing at WDS

All our double glazed units are manufactured to a 4/10/4 configuration — two panes of 4mm toughened glass separated by a 10mm air gap — delivering superior insulation and noise reduction compared to standard single glazing. We offer four double glazed glass types to suit every project:

Clear Double Glazed — 4/10/4 DGU Clear Toughened
The classic choice. Maximum natural light with all the thermal and acoustic benefits of double glazing. 

Grey Tint Double Glazed — 4/10/4 DGU Grey Tint Toughened
A sleek, contemporary option that reduces solar heat gain and glare while adding a stylish tinted finish. Well-suited to north and west-facing aspects where sun management is a priority.

Low-E Double Glazed — 4/10/4 DGU Low-E Toughened
Our highest-performing thermal option. Low-emissivity (Low-E) glass features a microscopically thin coating that reflects radiant heat, keeping interiors cooler in summer and warmer in winter. The smart choice for energy-conscious builds and climate-controlled spaces.

Obscure Double Glazed — 4/10/4 DGU Acid Etched Toughened
All the performance of double glazing with the added benefit of privacy. The acid etched finish diffuses light beautifully while obscuring the view — perfect for bathrooms, ensuites and street-facing windows.

How to Order Double Glazing

Ordering double glazing through WDS is straightforward. Simply navigate to the window or door product you need, and on the product page you'll find a Glass option in the product configuration. Select your preferred double glazed glass type from the dropdown — Clear, Grey Tint, Low-E or Obscure — and it will be built into your order automatically.

No separate quotes, no back-and-forth. Just select, add to cart and your double glazed unit will be custom manufactured to your specified size and delivered to your door.
